Windows going in, stairs are in!

House is painted, windows are going in!




And there's even some progress inside, like stairs! And the framing for the half bath/utilities.

Another big piece showed up today, the one piece shower/tub.



After snapping the lines for the upstairs a few days ago, the framing was mostly done today (hence the tub). Looking up from where the stairs will be.



The bathroom is to the right where the ladder is. Beyond that is the walk-in close for the master bedroom From the top of the stairs, going right to left in the picture, is the stairway opening, the doorway for the hall closet, and the door for the 3rd bedroom. You can see the door for the master bedroom.

The roof will be shingled today, and the windows will all get cut today too. The house is painted, and I for some reason forgot to take pictures of the color. Hoping to have most of the mechanicals in over the next two weeks.

10 days since the last update, and a lot of work has happened!

But what about the inside?

The windows are here and are being stored in the kitchen for now.  Nothing much to see down here since there won't be any rooms until the stairs go in, so lets climb the ladder and lay out the upstairs!

Still need some trim on the corners, but the light was needed.

Update on the house plans! We decided to flip the house around due to the layout of the lot.  We've got a new elevation, new interior drawings and the kitchen is basically finalized.  The washer and dryer are now shown under the stairs with the rest of the utilities, and they will be closed in not open like shown.

Wow wow wow... what a wet, grey, and wet summer it's been this year.  After record breaking rainfall delaying any progress in June AND July, things have finally started to move again at the homestead!

For most of the last two months, this is all that's happened:

On days when it hasn't rained, the tarp comes off to dry the pad.

 The driveway has survived at least

Finally, this week, some REAL progress!

And yesterday... CONCRETE!!!

Hopefully it's gonna go fast now...!
